Bird Tours
Africa is absolutely amazing for bird watching safaris and bird photography tours. Every year bird watchers and bird lovers visit some of Africa’s top birding destinations amoung these, the Great Rift Valley, East Africa.
The Rift Valley lakes are home to the world’s largest flamingo populations. Lake Naivasha in Kenya is known for it’s fish eagles. Lake Natron in Tanzania and Lake Magadi in Kenya both caustic cauldrons of soda set amid blistering desert landscapes, are favoured nesting grounds for these birds, but the flocks are at their most impressive in the algae-rich waters of lake Baringo, Bogoria and Lake Nakuru in Kenya, and Manyara in Tanzania.
East African Arc - This chain of ancient granite mountains, for the most part cloaked in forest, stretching from southern Kenya’s Taita Hills to Tanzania’s Southern Highlands. The mountains isolation from one another has fostered the evolution of dozens of unique bird species.
