Diani Beach South Coast Mombasa

Mombasa is divided into two sections the North Coast and the south coast. Diani beach is the most developed beach on Kenya’s south coast with hotels, self-catering resorts, banks, curio shops, supermarkets and hustlers. Explore coral reefs by day and clubs to wade through by night.

The beaches of the south, including Diani Beach, are renowned for their palm-fringed white sands and great coral reefs. The diving - in particular at Kisite Marine Reserve - is considered the best in the south, with many wrecks to entice underwater enthusiasts.

Those preferring the quiet life and whose aim it is to get away from sun-starved europe or parts of the United states should consider a visit. There is also lovely bird watching at the Tiwi River, located near the Indian Ocean beach club, and in the south the beach experience does become more tranquil.

All in all the South Coast of mombasa is chilled and relaxed - and it’s a great place for family beach vacations as there are activities for all ages including glass-bottom boats, kiddies clubs and golf courses.
