Kenya As A Tourist Destination
December 28, 2008 by admin
Kenya a country found on the Eastern part of Africa is one of Africa’s most exciting wildlife destinations. For the visitor, Kenya is a promise of the world’s finest game viewing, unspoilt beaches, rugged mountains, spectacular landscapes, ancient Swahili cities and gracious, unaffected hospitality.
In fact the word safari has it’s origin in East Africa. Safari which is a Swahili word meaning journey was adapted form Swahili a language spoken in East Africa and is now broadly used to refer to wildlife and game viewing. Ever watched one of those great wildlife documentaries?
Chances are that it was either shot in one of Kenya’s best known national parks Amboseli or Masai Mara. These are just some of Kenya’s main attractions:
Maasai Mara, Indian Ocean beaches, Mount Kenya, Lake Turkana, Amboseli National Park, Gedi ruins, Mombasa, Lamu, Samburu and Shaba National Reserves.
