Animals,like most humans resort to some form of medicine when feeling ill. Chimpanzees have been linked to eating of certain plants with relief of sickness.

Occasionally,chimpanzees eat a few leaves of Aspilia plants, which are rather like sunflowers, in the early morning. Unlike their usual mode of eating, they do not gulp them down but carefully massage the leaves in their mouth for about 15 seconds without chewing, then swallowing them whole. Read more

African wildlife safari attacks are extremely rare especially when you talk of tourists being attacked by wild animals. Inside parks there are strict rules and most will not allow you to come out of your vehicle.

Also in cases where huge animals like elephants are involved, tour guide are often trained and experienced in dealing with elephants which are sensitive creatures and can sometimes charge when frightened.

Even elephants in most African parks are used to seeing humans in vehicles and will rarely attack a vehicle. The adrenaline rush of being face to face with such a huge beast that could easily smash your vehicle is to say the least a unique experience. Read more
